Cork Natural Fertility Clinic

Case History 10

I found Robin Hill when I was at a very low point after two miscarriages and a close bereavement. At 39 I felt as if I’d never be able to have a baby and didn’t know where to turn for help. My GP had referred me to a fertility specialist, but I was dreading that appointment as I thought they’d just say I was too old. I came across an article in the local paper about Robin Hill and felt straightaway that this could be what I was looking for. I had my first appointment with Deirdre the following week and I was amazed at the difference even one appointment made. After spending around three hours with Deirdre talking and having acupuncture, I felt so much better and more positive that I couldn’t stop smiling all day. I also had some homeopathic and herbal remedies, and continued with the acupuncture. After a few weeks Deirdre passed me over to the rest of the Robin Hill team and again I immediately felt that I was in the right hands.

My appointment with the fertility specialist arrived a couple of months later and was exactly as I had expected – he said that my age was the problem and recommended IVF as the ‘most efficient’ way for me to have a baby. Deirdre and the team both had other ideas though and a month later I was pregnant! I continued to see both Deirdre and the team throughout my pregnancy and felt great all the way through. I’m sure that without their support I’d have been suffering the problems that my pregnant friends were suffering. My energy levels were always fine, and every time the hospital tested my iron levels they were amazed that they were so good.

My beautiful baby girl was born healthy and perfect, weighing in at 6lbs 15 ˝ oz, and I still can’t believe my good fortune. I would recommend anyone to go to Robin Hill – not only do I genuinely believe that the treatments work, but the support and warmth that is obvious the moment you walk through the door is worth having by itself. I’m now back at Robin Hill, as we’re hoping for number two!
